These boots are great! The shaft is nice and tall. I'm 5'8" and they are almost all the way up to my knee. They are good looking and they have plenty of grip which is perfect for my outdoor excursions in Germany.

I LOVE these boots! I've worn tall casual boots for years and these are by far my favorites! They're dressy enough to wear to work and casual enough to wear around the city. I get compliments on them all the time...my mom even tried to steal them from me :)
I photograph around the bay area where the terrain can sometimes be slippery, rocky, wet, etc. and these are great to wear as my "grippy shoes". Past shoes have lead me to slip and slide, but not so with the Afton!
I walk 3 miles to get home everyday and these are perfect for my daily commute! I've never had any troubles with the comfy factor of these boots. In fact, I keep them on when I get home and don't take them off until it's time to hit the rock climbing wall or hit the hay!
I'd get these in every color if I could! Great fit, comfortable, stylish, and warm!

I recieved these boots for Christmas and wore them for three days straight without discomfort. I wear a size 7-8 in shoes but ended up buyng the 8 1/2 boot after trying them in a regular sock. I wore the boot with a skirt and tights, still comfortable but BEWARE, the zipper in the back caught on my tights when legs were crossed or tucked under. Heavier tights so did not ruin them but if they had been a thinner, cheaper pair they would have been ruined. That said, wearing with my heavy wool socks tucked into jeans, comfy. Happy to own the boots and would recommend to a friend.....and an enemy but without the 'beware'.
