Where is it written that winter boots have to be heavy, boring, unpackable, toboggans for your feet? Nowhere? Weird…coulda fooled us. We were sick of what we saw out there, so we built the Jordanelle 2. With 250g of low loft Thinsulate in its removable liner and waterproof shell materials, the Jordanelle 2 doesn’t sacrifice any warmth, but at the same time it weighs in at about half the weight of other boots. And the Jordanelle 2 will compress down to the size of any normal shoe, so you don’t need an extra suitcase just for your boots. So the next time you find yourself in front of the wall of brown boots at the store, just tell yourself: there is another way.

When it’s cold out, most rubber hardens up and loses its flexibility, turning your shoes into ice skates. White Spider Rubber was made to stay soft and flexible in freezing temperatures, leaving the ice-skating to the pros.

      Comfy Boots for a Blizzard

      By Liz

      from Ithaca, NY

      Pros

      • Comfy
      • Great traction
      • Warm

      Cons

      • bulky

      Best Uses

They seem to be a bit of overkill for my situation but I will never have cold toes again and the traction on ice is amazing! They're a bit tricky to get on even after wearing them in for a few weeks but they are very secure once on so it's a trade-off I suppose. Frequently my feet are too warm!

        Amazingly comfortable and warm!!!

        By Blue Skies

        from New York, NY

        Pros

        • Comfy
        • Extremely lightweight
        • Great Fit
        • Great Look
        • Warmest Boot

        Cons

          Best Uses

          • Extreme Cold Temps
          • High Snow
          • Light snow
          • Walking

I work outdoors so need comfortable, warm and supportive boots that have good traction too! I've purchased other major brand boots which were equally as expensive and aren't nearly as warm and are heavy. Teva also run true to size! I usually have to order a size up but these fit my feet and I have a wide foot also. You can wear a very thick sock with them and still extremely comfortable! The traction is good in the snow. I didn't have a problem putting them on, you just have to loosen them first and found to be very easy to put on. If someone is looking for a snow boot for hiking then may not be right for that use because doesn't have deep treads. Other than that, they are great for walking and feel grip really well.

Perfect boots for a hockey mom!

          • Warm

          Cons

            Best Uses

As a devoted hockey mom, I spend at least five days per week in an ice hockey rink. I've tried several different brands of boots with various forms of insulation and these are by far the warmest boots I've ever had!

              • Q:

I just purchased these boots and have only worn them a couple of times. I did notice this morning that the inside of the boot, outside of the liner in the front toe area was wet. Is it common for moisture to get into the boot like that?
                Asked on 2/6/2014 by Jenn

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

Yes, it is common to have moisture on the outside of the liner. We recommend taking the liner out, wiping it down, and allowing it to dry naturally out of direct sunlight.

              • Q:

When I was first reading reviews on Amazon.com, it sounded like people were saying that you had to put on the liner first, and then put on the boot. Is this true, or can I leave the liner attached to the boot all the time if that's how I plan to wear it?
Asked on 12/17/2013 by Janet from United States

                1 answer

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

You can leave the liner in, but it is much easier to take the liner out, put it on, and then slip into the boot.

              • Q:

Is this boot made to be worn with socks? If so, thick or thin? For those who like that barefoot feel you get in a sheepskin boot, will they be happy using this boot sans socks?

I would recommend wearing this boot with socks. However, the Jordanelle is lined with thinsulate so you would not need to wear thick socks in order to keep your feet warm.

I wear either an 8.5 or a 9. I bought these is a size 9 so that my toes could have wiggle room. I have found over the years, that extra space in the toe area leads to warmer toes in the winter. The size 9 was perfect...and I can wear thicker socks too with this size.
