A lot of people ask why we named our original rubber compound after one of the creepiest creatures on the planet. In response, we ask them if they’ve ever seen a cute puppy climb up a completely vertical, soaking wet rock. No? We rest our case.

      Comments about Omnium:

I am an avid hiker in the Arizonia area. The terrain can be varied so I need a hiking shoe that is light weight, cool, and flexible. This shoe fits the bill perfectly. Unlike the heavy hiking boot that becomes oppressive in the Tucson Sun, this shoe is capable of mountain trails and wading through streams without feeling like you have cinderblocks on your feet. I also like that it is wide in the toe area but hugs the heel.
I was gifted with another pair a couple of years ago and have put over 2,500 miles ( I wear a pedometer) on them. Tread is still good but because they are so comfortable decided to buy another pair in case these ever wear out!

        Comments about Omnium:

I purchased the Teva Capri sandal as well as a pair of Me***** sandals for a 2 week Maui vacation. The Me*****'s were defective and in search of a replacement pair of hiking sandals I ended up picking up these Teva's in Lahaina. They are a bit stiff around the ankle area for the first little while but they soon stretched just enough to be the most comfortable shoe I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. Did extensive hiking, climbing, touring and hours of shopping and had the happiest feet. The Teva Omnium are a fabulous all around shoe, highly recommended for both comfort and durability.

Are these washable? If so, how?
          Asked on 3/10/2014 by cerasea

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Shoes can be hand washed using a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and let air dry out of direct sunlight. Do not use a washing machine as this is damaging to the components. Our sandals are treated with Microban zinc (Triclosan-free!) to reduce bacterial growth. This product is most effective when it is occasionally exposed to sunlight. 15 minutes of exposure should be sufficient, we do not recommend longer than this at one time as it can be damaging to the sandals. Other options to kill odor-causing bacteria are: • Mix 1 cup of Listerine (or any antibacterial mouth wash) to 2 cups of water. Soak for 15 minutes and scrub with a bristled brush. Let air dry. • Put sandals in a pool with chlorine for 15-20 minutes. Scrub with a hard bristled brush. Rinse. Air dry.

Are Omnium's compatible with a bunion?

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

The Omnium does have a wide toe-box and a more open style which makes it a good choice if you have a bunion. All feet are different, however and we cannot guarantee exact compatability.
