I just ordered these to replace my very, very old ones. I was floored years ago when they discontinued this original style. What were you guys thinking ??? And what took you soooo long to bring them back?? I had my old ones re-soled twice!!
Just love having my pinkies free in the wind & water without losing my footing on slippery rocks or any surface for that matter. I am just praying that the new ones are as good as the 'original'.

        Surprisingly happy

        By Marie

I shouldn't be surprised to like these better than the Original Universal (I've always preferred toe and ankle straps and these fit the bill), but I am. I really hated the look of these on the website, but then I saw how they looked in real life on the employee's Teva 365 blog. It sold me. Hopefully they keep being made...forever.

I am a huge fan of Teva sandals and hike in them almost everyday. I thought this looked like a nice sandal for more everyday use. I bought the Pike's Teal which is a gorgeous Southwestern motif and the glorious pink, a wonderful pop of bright and fresh pink. When I first tried them on I was wondering if I had made a mistake since I have a larger bone structure and substantial ankles. I had to do a little manipulation of the ankle strap before it fit, it could be a little longer for me. I am sure for ladies with thin ankles this will not be an issue at all. I also have issues with boots having a larger muscular calf so this is not something new to me. Now that I have figured out the easiest way to get them on and the miracle of Velcro hold them on, I do love them and find them to be great for daily activity.

I'm going to be going on a vacation into the mountains, so I was wondering if these shoes would be good in that terrain. I'm sure these wouldn't be recommended for hardcore hiking, but what about easier trails?

The Original Sandal would be good for light hiking, with a lot of rough terrain.

Do these sandals have a sole similar to the Mush ones? I mean, do they mush down to fit your feet?
Asked on 5/19/2014 by ladyhawk from Rochester, NY

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

The footbed on the Original Sandal is not made of Mush and is actually EVA instead. It will not mush down under your feet as much.

Yes, these run true to size. If you are a size 6.5 a size 7 would be recommended for you.

I have an extra wide foot, size 11. Will these sandals be comfortable for me?

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

All of our women's product comes in a medium B width. Since the "thong" part of this style does not adjust, they might be a tight fit for wide feet.

        • Q:

Hi, im interested in teava original sandal urban 2 brown but they dont seem to have it in men's anymore so are there differences between men and womens' and if i happen to buy one which size should i get if im a US9 men?
Asked on 2/28/2014 by Jay Knowles

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

The width is different. The women's width is a medium B and the men's is a standard D. If you are a men's 9 you would wear a women's size 11.

        • Q:

Why is there an extra piece of Velcro on the ankle strap? Why is there an extra rubber ring on the ankle strap? Are they there for a reason and I am missing a piece?
          Asked on 2/20/2014 by Michele

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

The ring is so that you can flip the strap around and wear as a slide. You unstrap the back completely, flip the strap backwards to the right, loop it through the rubber, and attach it to the small amount of velcro. This allows your foot to slide in instead on having the strap go completely around the ankle.
