Comfy, but too much velcro!

By Mattie

from Galesburg, Illinois

About Me Casual/ Recreational

Pros

  • Absorbs Shock
  • Attractive Design
  • Comfortable

Cons

    Best Uses

      Comments about Tirra:

I love these shoes other than I feel the 5.5 size is larger than normal. But my major criticism of the shoe is that there is too much velcro along the top strap and as a result, the exposed velcro catches on a lot of things. I wish you could reduce the amount of velcro, or provide something to cover the exposed part.

      Comments about Tirra:

I bought theses a couple of years ago for a trip to Borneo. I choose them because they stayed on my feet when they got wet from rain or kayaking - and I wouldn't slip around in them. They are super comfortable and not too clompy looking like a lot of the action sandals out there. I got them in the beige so they kind of merge into my skin color which I like. Have started wearing them most days this summer - I just said to my husband, I must be getting old as I'm wearing shoes for comfort now :-))

          Q:

          Are these sandals machine washable?
Asked on 9/9/2013 by California Girl from California

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

We recommend using mild soap and water, please do not machine wash. Also try scrubbing the top sole with a soft bristled brush while cleaning and gently bending the sandal from heel to toe under water pressure so that any dirt in the grooves of the top sole will wash away.

Can this be used in the beach and hiking, and how long it will take for drying?
Asked on 8/19/2013 by Esha from Clayton, CA

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

This style has Spider original Rubber for excellent grip in wet environments, a nylon shank for torsional stability and a Shoc Pad in the heel for additional support, making it a great choice for water use and hiking. The materials are quick-drying, however dry time can be affected by factors such as humidity and sun exposure.
