Spider Original™

Spider Original™

A lot of people ask why we named our original rubber compound after one of the creepiest creatures on the planet. In response, we ask them if they’ve ever seen a cute puppy climb up a completely vertical, soaking wet rock. No? We rest our case.

Shoc Pad™

Shoc Pad™

You wouldn't ride a bike without a seat. The same logic applies for our Shoc Pad™ technology, which will give you a smooth ride without inhibiting your performance.

  • Spider Original rubber outsole for uncompromised grip in wet environments
  • Increased rubber surface contact at the heel and forefoot to maintain traction
  • Multiple openings in the upper allow water to drain freely
  • Integrated toe protection keeps your feet safe in rugged terrain
  • Shoc Pad™ in the heel for shock absorption
  • Non-abrasive and breathable stretch mesh liner
  • Multiple points of adjustment for the perfect fit

Wet/dry walking shoe

By Daily Walker

from California

About Me Casual/Recreational

Pros

  • Ankle Support
  • Dries Quickly
  • Durable
  • Great Traction

Cons

  • Too Stiff

Best Uses

  • Climbing
  • Wading

Comments about Omnium:

Like previous reviewers have mentioned, this shoe is very hard on the heel and rubbed blisters onto my ankles. I am wearing bandaids and trying to break them in, as the previous ones that I had were much softer on the ankle and a I hope these will soften with wear. I love these shoes and they are otherwise so comfortable and great for walking. I wore my last pair when we went to the Galopagus and I am hoping that this new pair will work as well when they are broken in. If they continue to rub my ankles I will have to consider returning them, something I really don't want to do.

      • Walking

      Comments about Omnium:

Take them on holiday and they can still look street-smart after a rugged day's walk. A quick wash and they are good as new. My first pair lasted a year and were never off my feet and I walked miles in. They have now been de-moted for use in the garden. I have never had such a comfortable pair of sandals. I like the extra support they have compared to the strappy ones (which I also own)

        Q:

Are these washable? If so, how?
        Asked on 3/10/2014 by cerasea

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Shoes can be hand washed using a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and let air dry out of direct sunlight. Do not use a washing machine as this is damaging to the components. Our sandals are treated with Microban zinc (Triclosan-free!) to reduce bacterial growth. This product is most effective when it is occasionally exposed to sunlight. 15 minutes of exposure should be sufficient, we do not recommend longer than this at one time as it can be damaging to the sandals. Other options to kill odor-causing bacteria are: • Mix 1 cup of Listerine (or any antibacterial mouth wash) to 2 cups of water. Soak for 15 minutes and scrub with a bristled brush. Let air dry. • Put sandals in a pool with chlorine for 15-20 minutes. Scrub with a hard bristled brush. Rinse. Air dry.
