Tevas and Taipans
Donald Schultz
September 24th
On a recent trip to Cairns, Australia, I realized one of my dreams... chasing down and catching a coastal taipan. The third most venomous snake in the world, and one of the most feared, it is most peoples nightmare. Taipans are the pinnacle of Australian snakes, fast, venomous and grumpy at the best of times. Being a herpetologist and growing up on Africa, you get used to Black mambas, but you always fear what you don't know.. and I didn't know taipans. On the 5th day of my trip to Australia, we saw a giant 7 foot taipan crossing the road. Wearing Teva's and carrying some snake gear, I captured the snake and moved it away from the residential area, potentially saving humans and the snakes life.
Australia rules, so do Teva's.

Teva success story

I just wanted to tell you a success story about my Teva Hurricane sandals. This August, I went backpacking in Glacier National Park. The first day I got blisters from my hiking boots, and in the middle of the second day, I switched to my Tevas, wearing them with thick trekking socks. My feet were in heaven! I backpacked for 7 more days in my Tevas, probably for a total of about 70 miles, and much of that over rocky trails and across significant elevation changes. I also used trekking poles, which provided extra stability, especially since I had no ankle support. I am so glad I brought along my Tevas. I thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of Glacier, thanks to them. (My Tevas were also perfect for navigating up a shallow riverbed set in a canyon in Zion National Park in Utah-last year's trip.)
Thanks for making a great, durable sandal that fits narrow feet like mine!

My Trip to Mexico w/ my Teva's

I was just pulling my Teva's out of my closet and thought that I should write to you guys to let you know about my trip to Mexico with my fabulous Teva's. I wore them the entire time - whether hiking up a Mayan Ruin, trekking through the jungle, riding a bicycle, or exploring in the water. My Teva's were the best! Comfortable, stayed on and secure, allowed me to go on land, sand, climb and in water. It was great! My boyfriend wore flip-flops and tennis shoes, and suffered from blisters and having to constantly un-tie or remove his shoes to take on different terrain. I told him he should have gotten a pair of Teva's! :)
Anyway, just wanted to share. I have attached a few photos of the places my Teva's allowed me to go with ease. :)
Thanks!
Ginger

All Day, Every Day - Teva Sandals

Just wanted to extend my thanks for such manufacturing a tough, resilient product.
In the 2 and a half years I've had my Teva sandals, they've walked the jungles, beaches, deserts, caves and ruins of more than 25 countries. They've been on planes, boats and buses. They've slept in train stations, waded through rivers and climbed some very tough mountains. They've ridden camels, chased monkeys and even got themselves lost on the odd trek. They could be the only things I own that have never seen the inside of my backpack. And they're still going strong - It's starting to look like I'll need a new passport before my sandals give up!!!
Thanks for arming us adventurers with such great products.
Brendan
P.S. Here is a photo I grabbed on the beach in Central Vietnam this week. Enjoy!!
Ten pairs!

Just had to send you a picture of my current ten pairs of Tevas. I have been wearing them almost 20 years. Not with me anymore are 2 prs of "City Sandals" which were suede & somewhat dressier. They wore out and I do still have my first pair but they are at our cottage and not available. I buy most of my sandals lately from Sierra Trading Post. They have more styles than I can buy locally.
My foot is narrow, I am old (71) and Teva's are the only shoes I can wear comfortably all day. I am often identified as the "Lady in Sandals." Don't wear them to weddings, but almost everywhere else.
Thanks-Sincerely,
Kay Toohill
My Teva Story

I have a cute story for you. We rescue cats on a regular basis and either find a permanent home for them or keep the ones who are not considered adoptable by most people. We are a private sanctuary to over 10 cats right now and plan to someday create a non-profit organization much like The Cat House on the Kings in California. My hubby recently brought home a 2 week old orphaned kitten that a co-worker had rescued on the way to work one day. Of course, as most stories go, the initial rescuer wanted to do the right thing for the unfortunate "child", but did not have the means. As I have been caring for this very special kitten I have been watching her discover her little world (our home office). At just three weeks old she discovered my pair of black Teva flip flops that I recently purchased at the local DSW outlet. What is very interesting is that she seems to be attracted to these shoes as metal is to a magnet. She likes to sit or lay on them, which is quite cute, since she is still slightly smal ler than the shoes. We have been trying to decide what we should name her. When I found out that Teva means Nature in Hebrew the light bulb went on in my head. What an appropriate name for a cat that is just being as natural as my Teva shoes allow me to be. Thanks for making such great shoes that a kitten would choose them for her bed!
Sincerely,

Teva's for all places and ages
September 3rd
This summer my Teva's have taken me many places. I live in sandals from when the snow melts until it falls. This year my flip flops helped me walk the beaches from Bodega Bay to the Maine coast. My Corks walked the hills of San Francisco and the streets of Boston. My Hurricanes went canoeing on my local pond and the nearby river. Next week I will take all three with me to Greece. At age 59, I find Teva's the most comfortable shoes ever made!
