      Comments about Tevasphere Speed:

I took up running in October to start training for a local half-marathon. I tried Brooks, New Balance, and Nike running shoes. I also tried a couple different types of insoles. I supinate when I run. So, I suffered from shin splints on both the front and side. I injured my hip. I had sore feet. And my knees hurt. I didn't have all those ailments at the same time, but it really curbed my training. Then I tried the TevaSphere Speed shoe. It has great balance and support. It keeps my foot straight, and I have suffered no injuries or ill effects since using the shoe. They fit great and are lightweight. I ran for an hour today and still had fuel in the tank. Very pleased with this shoe.

        Comments about Tevasphere Speed:

I came across these after suffering from heel spur and plantar fascia problems after an extended run 11 months ago. I could not walk let alone jog for 10 months. I tried everything and physio and gave the teva shoes (hikers) then the teva speed a go. I could not believe the difference - walked without pain and then started initially on ovals jogging and built up to the pavement and now doing my regular 3 x 45 min sessions a week - without pain. I can not believe it. I have recommended Teva to other people suffering similar complaints and have been floored by the amazing positive responses. I have been an athlete all my life and would love to see this concept developed even further for heavier runners like me. They make great drumming shoes too

          Q:

Please tell me the weight of the Tevasphere Speed and the weight of the Teveasphere Event (I can't find it in your online specs). Typically, I do not like "waterproof" trail shoes. Is the Event a non-waterproof version of the Trail? Is there a cushioning difference between the two? Do either have a rock plate?
Asked on 3/4/2013 by Big Time Mountain Trail Runner

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

The Tevasphere Speed weighs a light 9.2 oz per shoe, and the Tevasphere Trail eVent® weighs in at 12.2 oz per shoe. *These weights are based on a size 9 and will vary with size. The Tevasphere Trail eVent® features our breathable eVent® membrane which keeps water out and also wicks sweat away from your feet, keeping them dry and cool. The Tevasphere Speed is not waterproof but is made of quick-drying materials. Both styles have a lightweight compression molded EVA insole for comfort. The Tevasphere styles do not have rock plates in the soles.
