Comments about Olowahu:

I bought my first pair of these a few years ago and loved them from the moment I put them on my feet. Since they didn't look like a flip flop, I could get away with wearing them to work.. Then one of them got lost in a move and I bought a new pair.... The new pair is completely unwearable. The straps are FAR FAR too short and don't feel at all like the same shoe.. super sad.

Comments about Olowahu:

I bought these shoes while on a college visit - I was wearing shoes that were not conducive to all the walking I was doing and had gotten blisters that were larger than quarters on the bottom of each foot. My deciding factor in buying them was that they were the only sandal in the shoe store that didnt seem to irritate those blisters and allowed me to stand without limping too badly; I wore them out of the store and threw my shoes in the garbage can outside.
In the last year I have lived in these sandals. They're a luxury item when in the backcountry, perfect to slip on before and after caving trips or between climbs - I've even hiked in them. I'm someone who loves to be barefoot when at all possible but I find myself slipping them on in the mornings and not taking them off until I either have to put "appropriate" work shoes on or go to bed. Seriously, I live in these. I've even worn them on dates.
They have perfectly conformed to my feet and the mush sole is to die for. These shoes have converted me to Teva for good!
Who knew a flip flop could be so life-changing?

Extremely Disappointed!

      Comments about Olowahu:

This pair replaced a pair purchased five years ago. Unlike my original pair that fit perfectly right out of the box, this pair began wearing a sore spot on my toe after only a couple of hours. The straps don't fit on my foot correctly; my little toes keep slipping out of the straps. I have always loved Teva as a brand I could count on for high quality and very comfortable footwear that needs no "breaking in". This appears to have changed since I purchased my first pair. I am extremely disappointed in this latest pair and have returned them for a refund. I am afraid to take a chance on a third pair. After reading other recent negative reviews, I'm concerned the quality of the materials and/or workmanship have changed enough that the Olowahu sandal has lost its reputation as being a dependable, comfortable, long-lasting shoe.

        Q:

Does this sandal have arch support? If so, how does it compare to the arch support of the Mush Wedges?
Asked on 6/23/2014 by Mush Lover from Pittsburgh, PA

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

The Olowahu does have a small amount of arch support, and will be similar to the wedges. The mush does mold to the shape of your foot and will create a personalize arch.

        Q:

These are my all time favorite show. I have two old pairs that I am trying to replace. When I went to pick them up, I noticed that they are not made the same. The new pair are flat and the straps are way to big for my narrow feet. I never had this problem before. Do you make a "narrow" version?

This style can be exposed to wet conditions. Simply rinse clean as needed and allow to air dry out of direct heat or sunlight after use. Please note: they can be slippery when wet.

If you are in between sizes we recommend ordering 1/2 size up for the best fit in this style. A size 7 should work best for you.
