    Comments about Teva Riva eVent:

This shoe looks good and is comfortable and very durable. Not light in the hand but feels great on the foot. I wear these every day for work and they are excellent hiking shoes too. My old pair is now used for mountain biking and they still are in good shape through all the dirt.

Fits well. Snug in the heel, which is a good thing.

        Comments about Teva Riva eVent:

I got a pair more than five years ago and used them in town on snow days, hiking 14ers in the summer, for work field visits, and about any other time I could make up an excuse. The toe box is wide and comfortable, but the materials are stout enough that they never felt sloppy. Footbed is firm but forgiving exactly like a quality hiking boot should be, kind of like walking on sand, rather than pillows under your feet. This makes for an incredibly connected feeling with the ground, with excellent support, and still enough forgiveness to travel long distances. The rubber lug sole grips rocks about as well as my rock climbing shoes, even on wet rocks. I even used them to wade in a stream well over my knees, and I was not slipping and sliding on the moss and algae covered rocks. I expected water to flood into the shoe and that I would have sopping feet, but my socks were barely damp due to the perfect fit of the cuff around my ankle. They look great with Khakis or jeans. I gave away my beloved pair. After some serious abuse they were starting to show enough wear that I did not want to wear them to work any more, but they were still very supportive and comfortable, and still had a lot of life to give. So I am looking for a new pair, because it started snowing and I can't think of anything else I would rather have on my feet.
