    Comments about De La Vina:

I bought these boots for my trip to England and Scotland--I wanted something that would withstand the rain and lots of walking, while still looking stylish. These boots were perfect. We didn't get much rain so I can't attest to their waterproof quality, but we walked A LOT and they were great and kept my feet warm. I bought them a half size bigger than I normally would, and put Dr. Scholl's inserts in, making them super comfy for walking. Would definitely recommend breaking them in before going on a trip, and while they were great for walking (we did do activities such as climb Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh), if you're going on real hikes, these might not be ideal for the whole time.

Truly, the best boot ever! I don't have one complaint about this boot. They fit perfectly, are very well made, and are super easy to take on and off. Let's not forget how awesome they look! I am not a fashionista, but these boots serve a purpose as well as look good too!

      Amazeballs Boots

        Comments about De La Vina:

So my mom had a pair of these boots and she just raved and raved about how great they were, and I didn't get it because I love boots but no way could any pair of shoes be as awesome as she was describing.
I had been hunting for shoes that could withstand my upcoming trip to Norway next February. I'm doing a hut to hut, so I really only have room for one pair of shoes and my cross country ski boots. I also did not want to buy a pair of ugly slogging through the snow snow boots because...well if I'm only going to have one pair of shoes I want them to be cute.
So as an early birthday gift, my mom gave these to me. I've had them for approximately 14 hours, and I already can't shut up about them. They are sleek, they look real nice. I haven't encountered rain, but my mom told me that she really only wore these boots for the entire winter, and we live in Portland, OR. So it rains from about November to July 4th.
Also they are so comfortable, holy jeez, I didn't even know boots could ever feel like this. I have a pair of pretty spendy combat boots that are no where near as comfortable as these shoes. They are like heaven on my feets.
I have not discovered one bad thing about them, except that it's a little difficult to get the dang peg into the other holes on the straps because the holes are kinda tight.
These are the best boots. I can wear them to work, to the bar, in the outdoors and if the zombie apocalypse happens, you better bet I'll be wearing these babies.
If you are on the fence about these boots, buy them. Your wallet might be sad, but your feet will be singing the hallelujah chorus.

        • De La Vina

          Q:

Would the use of Mink Oil be recommended? If not, what other compound would you recommend for leather care/waterproofing?
Asked on 10/14/2014 by Ed from Augusta, Ga

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Our leather boots can be cleaned and protected with products that are designed for use on leather or nubuck. Treat the footwear annually with a non-silicone based water and stain repellant specifically designed for suede. A non-silicone spray prevents clogging the leather pores.

The description says there is a folded panel, but I can't see it? can you explain that? Thanks!
Asked on 4/11/2014 by New to Teva from MA

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

The folded panel is at the top of the shaft of the boot. You can see it from the picture view of the top of the boot (looks down into the boot) This allows the calf to open more for veritilty of different sized calves.

          Q:

I live in Wisconsin, where my boots contact lots of salt and snow. Should I use a silicone-based leather treatment, or an oil-based treatment? Or is there some other kind of leather conditioner for this particular leather? Any recommendations on brands and treatment methods?

          Thank you!
