Life can be an uphill battle – especially on a mountain bike, so we designed our first-ever clipless shoe to help ease your ascent. It’s light, comfortable and supportive through the full pedaling motion – and it works (and looks) great off the bike, too. The cleat attachment is compatible with all major 2-bolt attachment systems, and you can quick-adjust it through the sole from above (so you can do it while it’s attached to the pedal). A hook and loop strap keeps your laces out of the chain, and its sneaker styling means it looks great with shorts – and terrible with spandex.

This is a men's model with extended sizing for women and children. We recommend women order 2 full sizes down, e.g., women's size 8 should choose size 6.

Slipping off your pedal can be painful … and really, really awkward. To prevent that, we worked with our team of professional freeride bikers to develop the PedalLINK outsole. It was designed to link up with the pegs of your pedal to keep your foot in place and in control. On top of that, it's got lugs at the toe and heel to help you get around when you're off your bike.

  • Our Spider365 Rubber sole will hold its grip in all kinds of environments.
  • PedalLINK Clipless outsole for all mountain riding.
  • Cleat attachment is compatible with all major 2-Bolt cleat systems.
  • Optional Cleat attachment from top to protect hardware (compatible with Crankbrothers® and Shimano® SPD® cleats).
  • Composite midsole plate for pedaling efficiency and walkability.

This shoe is really good. Hate that its discontinued. I have only ridden one other shoe that was comparable. I kept that shoe going for 12yrs, occasionally swapping in a new shoe trying to find the same rideability, durability, and comfort. 661 had nothing, Vans nothing, Shimano nothing, 510 got close but the hellcat doesnt vent/breath near as well as the Pivot. Super bummed that this shoe is done. I'll likely order a couple pair for the future if it is totally discontinued. Buy'm, ride'm, send Teva a message and let them know that they got this one spot on and should keep the line going.

Let's me stop and do short errands and activities while riding without carrying an extra set of shoes. Comfortable when riding, ok for walking but I wouldn't want to wear them all day for walking aroung.

how far does the shank run in the shoe? just under the ball of the foot or is it a full length of the shoe? in the end im trying to decide what would be the better pedal to like an egg beater or mallets

                          A:

The shank runs from the ball of the foot to the area right before the heel, allowing the shoe to be flexible at the toe and heel while off the bike.

How do I go about keeping my Pivot's stink free? Am I ok to put them in the laundry as so far all I have done is hose them down after a ride, but unfortunately they're beginning to smell a little?...

                          A:

We would not recommend putting them in the washer. We would recommend hand cleaning them with a mild soap and cold water and allowing them to dry naturally. When dry, put baking soda inside the shoe, place shoes in sealable bag, and let sit for 24-48 hours.

Yes, these do work with with flat pedals. The cleats are mounted from the top. This allows you to ride flat pedal, and walk around without stepping on your hardware. The Pivot also has the Pedallink outsole which link with the desgin of a flat pedal.

Clipless pedals are actually a system comprised of special pedals and cleats. The pedals attach to the soles of clipless shoes such as the Pivot. Since your feet are locked into the pedals when riding, you'll have more power in the pedal stroke while accelerating and climbing. The Pivot shoe cleat attachment is compatible with all major 2 bolt systems.
