I have used these shoes at work (9 hour days on concrete), walking my dogs, long day hikes and driving.
I love the spherical heel while walking because I never feel like I have "misstepped" or stumbled. The pods under foot leave me feeling like I have tremendous stability on most surfaces. The EVent waterproofing has not let me down either.
The heel is also really nice while driving since I can just roll from the accelerator to the brake very smoothly.

Tried this on because I was curious what the sphere heal would feel like. When it hits ground you kind of feel like you might roll to the right or left (which would be bad), but it just doesn't happen. Somehow it stabilizes and rolls you into your stride. Took them out on the trail for their first real test this weekend and they did great. Again, it took a mile or so before I was confident that I wouldn't "roll" into a sprained ankle. I've been running for 25 years so I can't help be wary of anything that feels differently than my normal step, but these things delivered and soon I was flying down the trail w/o a worry.
