This is by far the best hiking shoe that I have ever used. I have done multiple hikes of varying lengths (1-57 miles) and have never gotten a blister. They look amazing too, and are ridiculously comfortable. They do take a little to break in, before they are broken in they rub on the back of the foot and the ankle bones, but once the leather gets broken in they are fine. I use mink oil occasionaly to protect and soften the leather and have been very pleased. I am on my third pair, and intend on buying another pair when these wear out. I have recommended these to multiple different people who have gone and purchased them and have yet to find anyone that doesn't love this shoe.

Would give 4.5 stars, but required a short break-in--however were very comfortable after that. Toe box is stiff, so can bang toes walking downhill if shoes sized too small. Remained wonderfully waterproof though jungle mud.

I bought a pair of these several years ago. I wore them on three seperate trips to Europe walking every day. I wore them walking my dogs 2+ miles every day in all weather. When they finally began to show signs of wear after almost daily wear, I bought another pair of the same model. My new shoes are just as good.
