I originally purchased these shoes because they had leather, or something that resembles leather inside in the upper section. Almost all other shoes of this type have some kind of nylon cloth. Well, the cloth is the first thing to wear out. I would only get 1 year before the cloth is shredded. The leather insides of these shoes have held up almost twice as long. I just bought my 2nd set of these shoes after 2 + years of hard use.
I wear these shoes everywhere. For work and play. I use them for hikes, long walks and even short runs. During my work, i probably walk 3 or 4 miles every day. These shoes are very comfortable, light weight and have lasted longer than any other brand of shoe I have owned.
They do get wet. The leather outsides are not waterproof. The waterproofing is a liner inside. It does work at keeping your feet dry from casual water contact, but it isn't going to keep your feet dry if you are constantly shlogging through puddles.
Thank you Teva for making a long lasting shoe that works.

Great for walking long distances in urban environments! Got these for international traveling and have been breaking them in for months on my 1 mile commutes to the metro and back - they're great! Also looks great with jeans, cargos, or shorts.

Hi, I have a pair of Riva Mesh shoes. Is the shoe sizing consistent with the change in materials between the Riva shoes e.g. between the Riva eVent and Riva Mesh? The reason for asking is that I have read in a number of reviews which advise buyers to purchase a half-size larger than their 'normal' size. I have a pair of size 10s Mesh and so don't know if I should stick with size 10s for Riva eVent or go for 10.5s. Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.
