Legendary freeride mountain biker Jeff Lenosky can now add ‘shoe collaborator’ to his résumé. It's hard to find a part of the Links that Jeff didn’t directly influence. He showed us his pedal; we designed a sole that integrates with it. He showed us the busted toe on his last shoe; we added a flexible armor across the forefoot. He showed us his wet, muddy shoes; we found ion-mask™ technology that actually prevents the materials on the Links from absorbing water on a molecular level (true story). We built this shoe for Jeff, but anyone who has ever gotten on a mountain bike will appreciate his influence.
New! CR82 color: This web-only limited edition of The Links was developed in memory of our friend Chris Rice. Chris was a beloved member of the Teva Tribe. He absolutely loved mountain biking, so we designed a version of The Links — our premier mountain biking shoe — in his honor. We invited Chris's younger brother, Ben, to help us with the design process. Together we developed this show-stopping bright red colorway that is the perfect embodiment of Chris's warmth and energy. With the blessings of Chris's family, all proceeds of this shoe will be donated to the Santa Barbara High School Mountain Bike Club, so that Chris's spirit can keep hitting all the trails that he loved so much.
Alternative purple lace included with the Ultra Violet color and alternative grey lace included with the Lunar Rock color.
This is a men's model with extended sizing for women and children. We recommend women order 2 full sizes down, e.g., women's size 8 should choose size 6. Kids can order as normal according to size (youth sizes 3-6).
T.I.D.E. GRIP- Our Spider365 Rubber sole will hold its grip in all kinds of environments
- The sole of the Links was designed specifically to interface with the unique platform of a bike pedal
- Aggressive tread designs at the toe and heel will grip the dirt when you're hoofin' it
- Teva E-Brake in the heel features a reverse lug pattern to give you downhill traction when you're off your bike
- A rigid heel stabilizer keeps your foot centered in the shoe
- ion-mask™ technology actually prevents the materials in this shoe from absorbing any water on a molecular level. It sounds like sci-fi, but it's real
- Waterproof materials throughout the shoe make it easy to wash the mud off
- A rubberized grid over the toe area is a breathable armor that prevents abrasion or ripping
- Leather and mesh upper
- A Shoc Pad™ in the heel makes for a smooth ride
- Extra padding throughout the upper softens your landings
- Strong plastic wraps around the back of the shoes to protect your heel
- Elastic gores on the tongue give you a snug fit
- Our Mush® Infused Insole brings the absurd comfort of our flip flops into a shoe
Weight: 14.8 oz
Spider 365™
One rubber, huge range of uses. Spider365 Rubber is the spork of our rubber arsenal.
Shoc Pad™
You wouldn't ride a bike without a seat. The same logic applies for our Shoc Pad™ technology, which will give you a smooth ride without inhibiting your performance.
Mush® Infused Insole
Now we're not necessarily splicing Mush® genes back in the T.I.D.E Lab to build a hybrid mutant insole, but we do have an insole that’s worthy of the Mush name.
ion-mask™
ion-mask,™ technology by P2i, the world leader in liquid repellent nano-coating technology, falls into the category of what we call "magic tech." Imagine a process that allows you to make an object water repellent on a nanoscale, meaning that its very fibers repel water. It sounds like sci-fi, but that’s what ion-mask™ does to our shoes.
Pedlamp™
Slipping off your pedal can be painful … and really, really awkward. To prevent that, we worked with our team of professional freeride bikers to develop the PedalLINK outsole. It was designed to link up with the pegs of your pedal to keep your foot in place and in control. On top of that, it's got lugs at the toe and heel to help you get around when you're off your bike.

Comments about Links:
I just recently switched to flat pedals and needed a shoe that was specific to mountain biking. However, I am a female and this is really hard to find! Although these shoes are men's, they work great so far. I have only been out a few times so this review doesn't apply to future wear out but so far so good! Sturdy shoe which sticks great to the pedal but is also comfortable enough for the hike a bike sections. Stay tuned for updates on how they wear in the long run.

Comments about Links:
Bought these one weekend at Blue Mountain, was there for some DH. Came back home and bought another pair. These shoes just work. Forget the five ten shoes, these are the only shoes you need for biking. Work amazing for xc riding, and dirt jumping. Ultra comfortable, shock absorbing, great traction on the pedals, and easy to clean. Bottom line whenever Teva brings out a new colour choice, I will buy them.

Comments about Links:
These were given to me because I don't like clip in pedals on mountain bikes. They are awesome! They don't slip off the pedals and are really comfortable. They keep my feet warm in the rainy pacific northwest.
The only con may be that the sizing on the web is mens specific and I had to send back my original pair because they were a men's 5 instead of a women's 5. But the exchange was easy and fast!

Q:
after a good year and a half of daily use, commuting and wknd mtb rides, my Links are getting a bit smelly. What is the best method of washing. CheersAsked on 5/7/2013 by ginja ninja from Hamilton, New Zealand1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
They can be hand-washed using a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. We recommend removing the insole and washing that separately for the best results.Answered on 5/8/2013 by Teva Product Specialist

Q:
I'm looking for some women's downhill shoes for my wife. I see the Links on the Teva website in the women's section but it looks like sizing is the men's version. Are these available for women?Asked on 4/30/2013 by Andy from United States1 answer

The Links is shown in men's sizes. We recommend women order 2 full sizes down from their typical size for the best fit. For example if she wears a women's size 9, a men's size 7 is recommended.Answered on 5/1/2013 by Teva Product Specialist
