At the Teva Mountain Games, we watched tons of riders in skate shoes struggling up the hill after their rides. Right then, we decided to bring our PedalLINK Outsole technology to the iconic vulc style. The result is the Crank, a vulc-style sneaker with grip features meant specifically for biking.
T.I.D.E. GRIP- Our Spider365 Rubber sole will hold its grip in all kinds of environments
- Our PedalLINK outsole was designed specifically to interface with the unique platform of a bike pedal
- Aggressive tread designs at the toe and heel will grip the dirt when you’re hoofin’ it
- Stiff and stable outsole that has been tuned for riding
- Suede and mesh upper

Spider 365™
One rubber, huge range of uses. Spider365 Rubber is the spork of our rubber arsenal.
Mush® Infused Insole
Now we're not necessarily splicing Mush® genes back in the T.I.D.E Lab to build a hybrid mutant insole, but we do have an insole that’s worthy of the Mush name.
Pedlamp™
Slipping off your pedal can be painful … and really, really awkward. To prevent that, we worked with our team of professional freeride bikers to develop the PedalLINK outsole. It was designed to link up with the pegs of your pedal to keep your foot in place and in control. On top of that, it's got lugs at the toe and heel to help you get around when you're off your bike.

Comments about Crank:
When I first bought these, I thought they'd be perfect for my needs. I work in a school, and figured they'd be great for biking or commuting into work and wearing for the day.
While they were great for the first week or so, I quickly noticed how much I was feeling my heel hit the ground as I walked. Perhaps I was just wearing them too long (which is odd considering they're shoes...), but it felt as though there was little to no EVA in the midsole, or that it broke down WAY too fast.
Overall, a stylish casual shoe, that is comfortable biking, but provides little heel or foot support when walking.

Comments about Crank:
I got the red ones, and wear them with skinny/slim fit jeans. It's an excellent option when you don't want to look like Ronald McDonald in your enormous skate shoes. At first glance, they look like a dated design and a pretty uneventful shoe, but no exaggeration, barely a day goes by that somebody doesn't tell me that they like my shoes or ask where they can get a pair. I had no idea they'd make such a statement, but I like it. Nothing makes you feel like a hero than when your friends envy your stylish kicks.
