Vibram® is legendary for their durable and versatile outsoles, so when we need a bombproof and functional sole, we call up the crew at Vibram.

eVent Waterproof Fabrics

eVent Waterproof Fabrics

What good is a waterproof membrane if it keeps water out, but also makes your feet sweat like a turkey on Thanksgiving? Our eVent® membrane keeps water out and also wicks sweat away from your feet, keeping them dry inside and out.

Shoc Pad™

Shoc Pad™

You wouldn't ride a bike without a seat. The same logic applies for our Shoc Pad™ technology, which will give you a smooth ride without inhibiting your performance.

Mush® Infused Insole

Mush® Infused Insole

Now we're not necessarily splicing Mush® genes back in the T.I.D.E Lab to build a hybrid mutant insole, but we do have an insole that’s worthy of the Mush name.

Comments about Riva eVent:

I use these shoes for hiking. I work at a place called the International ALERT Academy, and we have a nine-week Basic Training every six months in which we walk everywhere we go for the most part. We have several hikes of progressively increasing length, leading up to our 24-hour, 50-mile Endurance Hike. These shoes normally make it through one Basic and a half before they start falling apart: the rubber piece at the toe starts peeling off, the outsole on the heel starts to peel off, and the stitching on the corners of the toe cap starts breaking. Nevertheless, this is the shoe of choice for most guys that work as leadership for Basic Training. I hiked an Endurance Hike in the rain and only got minor blisters. However, this shoe model has what we call the "Teva bite": the part on the back tends to rub the back of the foot raw until the shoe is broken in.
One way to improve the lifespan of a pair of Tva Riva shoes is to rub down the leather with mink oil, which keeps leather supple and waterproof.

Good Support, Ruggedf Sole, I wish it came in a Boot

Cons

    Comments about Riva eVent:

It is designed like a hiking boot but low cut like a shoe. I use it for work in natural environments and for hiking. They function well on slopes and off trail. I prefer a boot for these uses and the low cut is the only drawback to this shoe. It has great support, a rugged Vibram sole and the uppers have stood up well under hard use in rough terrain and brush.
