Sneakers really satisfy – especially when they shed water, grip the ground, and look fresh with your new jeans. We styled our Alamedas like classic trainers with a few modern outdoor twists – like waterproof leather and suede uppers, turf-tough Spider365 rubber soles, and Mush Infused Insoles for a smooth ride. It’s just a great, all-around, comfortable shoe for men. Any questions?

Multipurpose Workhorse

Pros

  • Comfortable

  • EXCELLENT TRACTION
  • Waterproof

Cons

  • none

Best Uses

  • Everyday use
  • Light snow
  • rain

Wanted to try these shoes out before reviewing them so I put them through the tests:
1. Tahoe with light snow, up and down sloped drive way. First thing I noticed was the traction these shoes provided. Handled the ice like champs. Didn't fall once. The traction is comparable to, if not better than vibrams on other shoes. The light snow was no match, feet were dry and comfortable.
2. Light rain and puddles were no match.
3. Snow in St. Louis during the recent polar vortex was the perfect test. The shoes had great traction, remained dry, warm and most importantly comfortable.
4. Most shoes with these kind of capabilities look pretty nerdy and aren't really something you want to show up to a bar in (Merrell Chameleons for example). Not these shoes, in most places, these shoes dont look too bad on a pair of jeans.

    • Q:

Is the bungee color in the Teva Alameda like a loden green, or more like a tan? Does the shoe appear green/moss green to observers? I don't want it to be green. I just want an understated shoe for my college-aged son. Older son thinks the blue trimmed one is sharp ...
