Spider Original™

Spider Original™

A lot of people ask why we named our original rubber compound after one of the creepiest creatures on the planet. In response, we ask them if they’ve ever seen a cute puppy climb up a completely vertical, soaking wet rock. No? We rest our case.

Shoc Pad™

Shoc Pad™

You wouldn't ride a bike without a seat. The same logic applies for our Shoc Pad™ technology, which will give you a smooth ride without inhibiting your performance.

  • A nylon shank keeps the foot stable and in control.
  • Our Spider Original rubber is made to grip like crazy in wet environments.
  • Open toe construction doesn’t allow water to pool.
  • Hook and loop strap lets you skip the laces.
  • Multiple points of adjustment allow for the perfect fit.
  • Microban® zinc-based anti-microbial treatment keeps the stink down.
  • Webbing upper.

Straps Too Short

By Mark

from San Marcos, CA

Pros

    Cons

    • Strap Chafes

    Best Uses

Ordered these to replace my Terra Fi 2(6670)Sandals that are wearing out after several years of use. Ordered the same size as my old Tevas (size 9) which is a full size above my dress shoe size. Not only is the new footbed too narrow, but the toe and ankle straps are too short.

The toe straps are so short that if I adjust them so that maybe a 1/4 inch of Velcro is holding - the straps are so tight that my toes become numb. And the ankle straps hang up on the anchor point where the Velcro ends, such that one has to sit down and use two hands to put on these sandals.

I am a longtime Teva customer - at least 25 years.

All of our sandals come in a standard D width. Most of them do come with adjustable straps to help accommodate for a wider foot.

The Terra Fi lite is a lighter weight sandal. It is more sleek and lean than the Terra Fi 3. Both have Spider Original rubber which offers high-friction grip, performing well on a wide range of wet and dry surfaces. Both offer have great arch support as well.

          • Terra Fi Lite

            Q:

Between the Terra Fi Lite and the Hurrican XLT, both in wavy midnight blue colour, which one is more feminine? Which one has got less heel? Which one is lighter/less bulky?
And what do you mean for sleek and modernized?
Has the Hurrican got a good friction grip too, performing well on a wide range of wet and dry surfaces?
Asked on 11/19/2013 by Alessandra from México

            1 answer

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

Between the 2, the Hurricane XLT Insignia Blue color is more femininie. The Terra Fi Lite has less heel height. The Hurricane XLT has a heel height of 1 1/2 inch the Terra Fi Lite has a heel height of 1 inch. The Terra Fi Lite is lighter/less bulky. By sleek and modernized we mean that they feature all the performance details of its iconic sport-sandal but in a leaner, lower profile.

The Hurricane XLT does have good friction, but has more durability. This means that it has a harder outsole than the Terra Fi Lite. The Terra Fi Lite has a softer outsole, which gives it better traction on wet surfaces.

            Q:

I have a pair of original Teva Terra Fi (code 6673) size US 15 that I now need to replace as they are on their last legs. I can no longer get these sizes in the UK so will have these mailed to a friend in the US. My old Terra Fi's don't have the raised midsole at the heel - might I be better to go for the size up (US 16) as this will presumably push the heel forward a little in the sandal?

Does the Terra Fi Lite accurately fit? I have an old pair of Taggarts that fit me in 10 ( my normal size is 11). But I tried on a pair of Hurricane 3s in a store yesterday and it took a size 11 to fit my foot.
