Dear Teva

The most amazing coincidence just happened here at my brother and sister-in-law’s home! We all just had breakfast together, and I was walking around in my bare feet when I remembered how much better my back feels when I am wearing my new shoes. So I went back to the bedroom, slipped them on, and walked much more happily back to the kitchen. I then proceeded to tell my sister-in-law all about my fabulous shoes. She looked down at my feet and asked me who the manufacturer was. When I told her, “They’re called ‘Teva’s’ (“tee-vahs”), she was incredulous and advised me that they each own a pair of their own. She also corrected my pronounciation to “Teh-vah”!

So when I went on and on about how these shoes made it possible for me to keep up with my brothers as they led me to remote beaches in Kauai and made it possible for me to keep up with my husband on our recent trip to Seattle and British Columbia without backaches, I was truly “preaching to the choir!” So, I want to be the poster child for your amazing product!!!

In Kauai, I had borrowed my brother’s wife’s Teva’s just because they were by the door as we left for one of our beach treks. I was desperate, as I had no confidence hiking on uneven terrain and/or down slick, narrow passages, the end result being azure blue, breath-takingly gorgeous beaches! I really struggled to keep my balance and my courage up as I followed them, but the day I traded my sneakers for those Teva’s by the door, I did so much better! It was a joy to go with them up or down any trail. Yey!!!

So, the first thing I did upon returning from Kauai.....I went to my nearest athletic shoe store and bought myself a pair. I knew this was the best purchase I had made in a long, long time! No big decision to make. I tried them on, paid the nominal fee, and trotted out in them, anxious to show my husband the shoes that would allow me to walk side by side with him on our upcoming trip to Washington and Canada. Just came back from our 10-day vacation, where I just about LIVED in my cute gray and pink Teva’s, I can slip into these and be able to do whatever it is I want to do. Yey!

These shoes have enabled me to stay “at it” for as long as I want to, so I have gained endurance. I can do what I want and stay at it for longer----that’s a very tall order for a pair of shoes in my book!

Thanks for your ingenuity, and thanks for making them so cute to wear as well! Just keep me up-to-date with new styles and colors, okay??!

sole sisters!

Hey there!

I just had to share my epic Teva story from Labor Day this year:

My sister and I took the kiddos on a hike to the beach and stayed a little too long and realized that unless we really booked it we were going to be hiking the 4 mile forest path in darkness (w/o headlamps, what were we thinking??). So off we trotted in our trusty Teva Mush flip flops, but we weren’t making good time so we started to run, thinking it would only last a few minutes. Turns out, our sandals are better running shoes than running shoes! We were both shocked and amazed and ended up jogging the entire stretch (while pushing a double stroller, no less) in complete comfort. Honestly, we talked about our rockin’ flops the whole drive home! We didn’t even wake up with sore knees or feet!

So thanks, Teva, for helping us create a seriously hard-core memory. We are huge fans and you can bet our kids will grow up hearing about it!

Sincerely

Brittani and Amanda (and the kids Moby & Bass)

Hi there!

I'm a new owner of Teva shoes: I have my lovely Kayenta sandals and they can be with me for pleasure, for walking, for being in Parawaiting while the wind comes for my paraglider's flight; for being dressed with a beautiful dress, and so on so on...Can you feel my hapiness in this foto? I'm far away from home, in a espectacular view over a vulcan's cratere, in Açores, Lagoa das Sete Cidades.

Share it with me!

Dear Teva,

This email is long overdue.

You have faithfully kept me properly sporting "Teva Tan Lines" for YEARS.

Gracias.

Tera-fy with Scorpion pattern straps got me hooked when I was in high school. An urban (dressy leather) pair was added to extend my options.

Two years ago, a friend was wearing a pair of your Olowahu style flip flops and I fell in love. I found a pair at a CitySport in Chinatown and have been wearing them consistently since.

Brand-new or well-worn-in, they fit perfectly. Many miles of Athens sidewalks, Colorado's sandy prairies, DC's Mall, Ocean City's putt-putt courses and the three flights of townhouse steps later, I'm buying a birthday set to start my 30s.

As a chica who has "expired" many a heels via dance floors and DC's brick sidewalks when out with friends, I can attest to the value of reliable and durable footwear that is stylish enough for a skirt while traveling and yet sporty and practical enough for an event in shorts. Thanks for making both in one.

Yours, as it would seem,

Marianne

Mountain girlie says Thank You

Hello,

Dear Teva,

I’ve been a fan for decades, living in the big-strap work horses. In fact, I finally gave up on my last pair when the sole lost its grip-tion., but I think they were at least 100 years old in dog years. Now, I have a new love—Kayenta sandals. Boy-style technicals in a girl-style package. Woo-hoo! For those of us outdoorsy girls who aren’t blessed with model-thin legs, these look great on our cankles. Although they look strappy, there’s plenty to keep them tracking along. I’ve hiked them in Arches and walked miles of cobbled European streets without a single blister. Just be sure to use lots of sunscreen on the tops of your feet, because there’s lots of ventilation. They dress up for cafes or dancing, and wake up the next morning ready to hike again.

After years of adventuring in gear marked “men’s small”, it’s such a pleasure to have girlie shoes that are almost as tough as me. Here’s a great big thank you from the female side of the Rocky Mountains.

JA

Thank You!
