- What do you love most about your sport? The sheer natural environment that I get to play in. I get to run to the top of some of the most amazing mountain tops in the world. Its primitive, natural and kick starts the "endorphines" that my soul craves !
- What is your training regime? During the year is very consistant. With more specific workouts depending on the profile of the race....basically I average 105 miles a week during the racing season... mountain races each weekend, speed work during the week. Mile repeats at 4.50 per mile pace are standard and during the winter build up alot of treadmill runs for 60 min at 15 % incline. I lift weights and x train on an elliptical trainer for increased volume.
- What is your guilty pleasure? .....Oh I have none....I try to totally enjoy all pleasures that come my way.
- What is your "pet peave"? MEAN people...plain and simple, we all need to love more and laugh often.
- What is your carnage? A broken hand, a Sacral Stress Fracture and countless scars all over my legs from surgical procedures and wiping out on mountain trails.I broke 3 ribs in 2004, tripping on a training run. I have ripped my lip and nose falling down our local ditchbank when a stick got stuck in my shoe.......Target practice with a shotgun, retore the lip deal. As a young kid , I cracked my skull numerous times cause I loved to wrestle too close to the brick fireplace.
- Favorite Teva®? X-1 Evolution - weighs only 9 ounces!
- Music/Playlist The yearly TEVA CD of course is in my car ! (2009 marks the 7th annual edition of the Tevanthology CD) I have Sirius radio which recently has been locked on the AC/DC channel....that band ROCKS !!!
