Teva Voyages Down The Salmon River To Test Product Direct With Consumers
Goleta, CA (August 24, 2007) – This summer hasn’t been all fun and games for Teva (a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation NASDAQ: DECK), or has it? This past July nine members of the Teva Tribe headed down a six-day river trip with OARS to find out what their consumers really want in footwear.
The idea for this trip came from a partnership Teva developed with California based river outfitter OARS during the shooting of “Grand Canyon Adventure”, a film for IMAX Theatres and IMAX 3D Theatres presented by Teva in association with Waterkeeper Alliance that will raise awareness about world water issues. Originally OARS set up one Teva Product Testing trip where OARS customers were urged to “put Teva to the test on the Salmon”. The trip was so successful that after receiving numerous calls, a second trip was added to the itinerary.
