Santa Barbara, CA - Deckers Outdoor Corporation Stands to Stop Global Warming

(September 30, 2005) – Deckers Outdoor Corporation, owner of the footwear brands Teva, Simple, and UGG Australia, has joined Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Senator John McCain, Laurie David and many others as a corporate sponsor for StopGlobalWarming.org. Stop Global Warming is "marching across America for one year, via the internet, to bring everyone together in one loud clear voice of concern to urge our leaders to address global warming now." Deckers has decided to participate by encouraging its employees to sign up as virtual marchers, as well as actively recruiting participation by all individuals and organizations concerned with the potentially catastrophic effects of global warming on our planet.

Angel Martinez President and CEO stated: "Hurricane Katrina has shown us the fallacy of ignoring a disaster that we all knew was inevitable. Ignoring global warming will be no less disastrous, with consequences far beyond the calamity caused by a hurricane.
